On Sunday, December 1st, UC-Irvine's David Kniffin came to Nicolet High School to speak with MVC coaches and players during a 2 hour clinic.

MVC was honored to have UC-Irvine's David Kniffin come to Nicolet High School this past Sunday, December 1st, for a 2 hour clinic.  Coach Kniffin's UC-Irvine Anteaters won the D1 NCAA National Championship in 2013 and he was named Volleyball Magazine's Coach of the Year.

Coach Kniffin met with MVC coaches for a coffee and donuts session for about 90 minutes before the clinic on Sunday.  The staff learned a great deal about Kniffin's coaching philosophy on both micro and micro approaches to volleyball.

In the 2 hours that Coach Kniffin spent in the gym with MVC staff and players, he went through two key skills that we will be focusing on heavily this year - swing blocking and attacking with maximum force.  The players who participated saw immediate improvement and the MVC staff walked away as better coaches.

We thank Coach Kniffin for coming and spending some time with MVC!
