10 of 12 1st and 2nd Team All-Area Players are MVC players
10 of the 12 players named to the Journal Sentinel All-Area Teams wear MVC jerseys during club season.

MVC is proud to say that all 6 of the Journal Sentinel 1st Team All-Area players either currently play for, or have played for MVC in the past. Current 18-Jake players include Player of the Year Ben Plaisted (Tosa East), Karl Apfelbach (Shorewood), Nolan Rueter (Burlington) and Chandler North (CMH). MUHS players and 1st Team selections, Will Cotter and Joe Coplan, have chosen not to play club volleyball during their senior year but were integral members of last year's 17-Jake team.
4 of the 6 players named to 2nd Team All-Area who currently play, or have played for MVC, are Luke Turner (Waukesha West), Mickey Sugar (New Berlin United), Brooks Gahart (Westosha Central) and Jon Averkamp (Germantown) - who are are happy to announce has accepted a basketball scholarship to St. Cloud State. Best of luck Jon - great high school and club career!
That puts 7 of 12 All-Area players on MVC 18-Jake this season! Going to be an exciting group to watch!
